soil HEALTH

Soil Health is addressed by completely removing horse manure storage on farms; our process drastically reduces the soil PH, water contaminants and the biological impact on surrounding lands and waterways. Thus allowing for natural nutrients cycling, promoting plant and crop health. Our process is capable of increasing the rate of soil, water and conservation functions allowing for pristine management practices promoting ideal conditions for a sustainable growth process. By converting our process into fertilizer production, the use of harmful chemical laced commercially sold fertilizer is no longer needed. With the use of our fertilizer, the proper amount per land mass can be controlled, and the use of conventional manure spreading, with the possibility of over fertilizing is reduced if not eliminated. By eliminating the need for spreading manure on fields, the possibility of contamination of produce already growing in the field is eliminated. Our product also retains water, absorbing this water promotes soil health, density and reduces the consumption of water. Currently horse manure is not an accepted source of fertilizer due to its content of undigested seeds, through our process, excess seeds are no longer viable due to the heating process used. Therefore usage of equine manure becomes another source, capable of being used as fertilizer.
Energy Conservation, with the use of our product as a heating source for homes, greenhouses and in outdoor furnaces providing hot water or steam heat, the consumption of electricity, fossil fuels or the like is greatly diminished. The farms with greenhouses, in using our product to heat them, will at a minimum, cut their energy consumption in half. Our solution has a positive impact financially for energy consumers. There is a direct priority need between soil and direct waterways and watercourses, and in doing so our process directly creates a sustainable fuel, which is both completely renewable and sustainable. Our process drastically reduces environmental contaminants such as our carbon footprint, greenhouse gases and the PH balance in our waterways. Our type of fuel greatly reduces the amount of carbon put into our air and soil by drastically reducing the amount of wood and wood byproducts that are burned in our world.

Air quality is affected as horse manure produces excessive methane (CH4) production from biodegradation, ammonia infiltration (NH3), attraction of insect disease vectors, airborne fecal contamination, and zoonotic transmission of bacterial and viral disease and odor. Water is affected by non-point contamination of (especially) surface water. Algae blooms in fresh and salt-water ecosystems have negatively impacted flora and fauna throughout Connecticut’s tributaries, estuaries and especially the Long Island Sound Basin bordered by our state and the Long Island Terminal Moraine. Eutrophication has caused hypoxic fish and shellfish kills with accompanying changes in pH adversely affecting recreational activities and the interstate fishing industries. As biologists have widened their understanding of the chemical processes, which continue to threaten fragile ecosystems, phosphates and nitrogen compounds have been eliminated or restricted from use in many areas most susceptible to their effects. Consequently, an environmentally sound program of bioremediation, management, and recycling of these potentially harmful natural by-products is imperative to protect both public and private resources amidst an ever-expanding growth of human and animal populations. Our innovative process helps to solve the problems regarding soil health, energy consumption, air quality and non-point contamination of our waterways.

social impacts

The social impacts are creating a solution where farms and residential property owners can live in harmony. No longer would the animal waste create an air quality problem, farmlands would no longer be contaminating their neighbors property due to runoff, and social harmony can be restored. In producing a renewable fuel source, the farms can become a solution to our natural resource dilemma, and not an addition to its problems. Through the growth of our company, not only in the State of Connecticut, but also throughout the USA, job creation is imperative. These jobs created are well paying, full time, including benefits, something that is much needed for the economy and the people of the USA. Having reviewed the National Environmental Compliance Handbook worksheet confirms our belief of our potential ability in assisting with source and non-source contaminant landowners into compliance. All questions were reviewed, and this workbook is based more towards an evaluation on a potential pollutant site than to our process and how we are able to solve a majority of the issues it addresses.
